Don’t be distracted – Bello Ayuba tells Kogi Gov over airport proposal

A public affairs analyst, Quantity Surv. Bello Ayuba, has urged the government of Kogi State, under Ahmed Ododo, not to be distracted over its planned construction of the state’s Zariagi International Airport.
He made this known to DAILY POST in a statement on Tuesday.
According to Ayuba, the project would catapult economic development in Kogi State if implemented.
He noted that it is not a good record that the state has been without an airport for decades.
Ayuba said the airport, when completed, would triple the economic fortunes of the people of Kogi State.
“Don’t be distracted; continue your vision for the construction of Zariagi International Airport starting from this year.
“It is not a good idea that after decades of existence as a state, and even having served as the country’s capital at one time, there is no airport in Kogi State.
“The airport, no doubt, will bring enormous economic development to Kogites if it is implemented as envisioned by Governor Usman Ododo’s administration,” Ayuba, Chief Executive Officer of Zafreen Reality Homes, stated.
DAILY POST reports that the state government under Ododo has pledged to build an airport in the state.
Barely four days ago, the state government announced plans to raise a N50 billion Sukuk fund for the airport and the Lokoja International Market.
Kogi is among the states in Nigeria without an airport.
