Suspected Boko Haram insurgents attack Kautikari community in Borno

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents on Monday evening attacked Kautikari village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.

The number of casualties remains unclear as of the time of filing this report.

Sources said the attackers stormed the community around 6:00 p.m., forcing residents to flee for safety. Kautikari has experienced repeated attacks by insurgents in the past.

A resident of the community, Mr. John Audu, who is currently in Maiduguri, confirmed the incident, calling for prayers for those affected.

“Families, let us pray for our people in Kautikari, which is currently under attack by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists,” he said.
