PSC appoints commandant for Police Academy, redeploys eight commissioners
The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the posting of AIG Auwal Musa Mohammed as Commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, and eight Commissioners of Police to various state commands.
The Head of Protocol and Public Relations, Torty Njoku Kalu, said in a statement on Wednesday that AIG Auwal Musa Mohammed is an officer with more than 33 years of experience in operations, investigations, intelligence-led policing, and training.
Mohammed, who “holds a BSc in Political Science and an MSc in Public Policy from Bayero University” had previously served as Commandant Police College Maiduguri, CP Bauchi, and AIG Zone 3 and Zone 6.
The statement listed the eight Commissioners of Police and their postings as follows: CP Afolabi Wilfred Olutokunbo (formerly CP Administration, Training and Development) to Abia State; CP Ayodeji Faniyan (formerly CP Administration, Police Cooperative, Lagos) to Plateau State; CP Saka Adewale Ajao (formerly CP Administration, FCID Annex, Gombe) to Bayelsa State; CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue (formerly CP INTERPOL, Abuja) to Cross River State; CP Nnanna Oji Ama (formerly CP Intelligence) to Anambra State; CP Patrick Daaor (formerly CP Administration, FID, Abuja) to Edo State; CP Tijani Murtala to Jigawa State; and CP Samuel Erale Etaifo to Delta State.
According to the statement, the postings follow the promotion of former Commissioners of Police and are aimed at sustaining operational exigencies.
