NDC unveils digital membership registration portal

ABUJA — The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has launched a digital membership registration portal as part of efforts to broaden participation and strengthen its organisational structure across the country.
The unveiling ceremony took place in Abuja and was led by the party’s National Leader, Henry Seriake Dickson. Also present were the National Chairman, Cleopas Moses; the National Secretary, Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu; as well as several state chairmen and other party leaders and stakeholders.
Speaking at the event, Dickson said the introduction of the digital platform marks a significant step toward modernising the party’s operations and encouraging wider political participation among Nigerians both within the country and in the diaspora.
He explained that the online registration system would be complemented with manual registration forms to ensure inclusiveness, particularly for citizens in rural communities who may not have access to digital tools.
According to him, printed forms will be distributed through state, local government and ward officials to assist those who are unable to register online.
Dickson expressed confidence that the party would meet its membership registration targets despite the limited time available, noting that party officials at different levels had already been mobilised to support the process.
“The platform will make it easier for Nigerians to register as members of the party from any part of the country while ensuring proper documentation and effective management of membership records,” he said.
He also thanked Nigerians for the support and encouragement shown to the party since its emergence, noting that many citizens had indicated interest in joining the political movement.
Although the party is only weeks old, Dickson said it has begun attracting attention and support from different parts of the country, describing the NDC as a national political platform.
“We are a national party and a pan-Nigerian democratic movement,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, the National Chairman of the party, Cleopas Moses, said the digital membership portal would simplify the process for Nigerians who wish to join the party and participate in its activities.
He added that the platform would promote transparency, accountability and inclusiveness within the party while strengthening its grassroots mobilisation across the country.
Interested Nigerians can register through the party’s official website and obtain their membership cards through the digital platform.
