AWKA — The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Nonye Soludo, has congratulated mothers on the occasion of Mothering Sunday, describing motherhood as a divine responsibility that should never be taken for granted.

In a statement issued to mark the celebration, Mrs. Soludo urged women to continue to give their best for the progress and well-being of society.

According to her, motherhood is a rare blessing and a sacred duty that goes beyond the home.

“Motherhood is one divine responsibility that has no material quantification. Being a mother is a rare blessing; a gift that should never be taken for granted,” she said.

She added that motherhood represents a divine call to serve a sacred purpose, describing it as an assignment driven by passion and grace.

“For your sacrifices, extraordinary courage, resilience and eternal nurture, the world celebrates you today and beyond,” she stated.

Mrs. Soludo also reminded men that the best gifts they could offer their wives on such an occasion are love, presence and prayers.

She wished mothers in Anambra State and across the country a memorable celebration, commending their dedication to family and society.

“To every hardworking and compassionate mother in Anambra State and elsewhere, take your flowers. You are the saints we see,” she added.
