Iwobi dives into music, to release EP April 9

Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi is stepping into the music scene as he prepares to release his debut extended play (EP), More To Life, on April 9.

The Fulham midfielder announced the development via Instagram, where he unveiled the project’s cover art alongside a nine-track list, offering fans a glimpse into his musical journey. The EP will feature a mix of solo efforts and collaborations, including appearances from artistes such as 24am, Teniola Time, Gidi, Fido, and SPKS.

Notably, two of the tracks will see Iwobi perform solo, signalling his growing confidence as a recording artiste.

Iwobi is not entirely new to music. He previously teamed up with fellow footballer Chuba Akpom, who records under the name Skoli, as well as British rapper Ramz, on the track Hop Out.

Despite his growing interest in music, Iwobi continues to play a key role for Fulham, contributing four goals and three assists in the Premier League this season.

The midfielder, who nears his 100th cap as a Super Eagles player, was shown a straight red card for misconduct during Nigeria’s 2-2 draw versus Jordan on Tuesday.

He now returns to England to continue the season with Fulham FC, who sit in ninth position and will be travelling to Anfield on Saturday.
