Imo APC inaugurates LGA party chairmen

Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has formally inaugurated its LGA Chairmen across the 27 local council areas following their emergence in the just concluded congress.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the party’s State Secretariat in Owerri, was conducted by the new State Chairman of the party, Austin Onyedebelu, alongside the party’s State Secretary, Onyekachi Ibezim and other members of the State Working Committee.
Addressing the newly inaugurated LGA Chairmen, Onyedebelu emphasized on the importance of unity and discipline within the party.
He charged them to see their emergence not merely as a position of authority, but as a call to service, urging them to foster inclusiveness and carry all party stakeholders along in their respective LGAs.
The APC State Chairman noted that the strength of the party lies in its cohesion at the grassroots, stressing that the new executive members must work collectively to deepen the party’s presence and ensure effective coordination across all wards and communities.
He highlighted the need for strict adherence to the constitution of the party, describing it as the guiding framework for all party activities.
Onyedebelu also used the occasion to urge the Chairmen to remain loyal to the ideals, principles and leadership of the party.
He further tasked them with the responsibility of overseeing the inauguration of their respective LGA executives and ensuring that the process reflects fairness, inclusiveness and the collective interest of the party.
The State party boss also pointed out the importance of loyalty to the State Governor, Hope Uzodinma as leader of the party in the State, noting that sustained support for Uzodinma’s administration remained central to the continued growth and stability of the party.
In their separate remarks, two of the newly inaugurated LGA Chairmen, speaking on behalf of their colleagues, expressed appreciation to the party leadership for the confidence reposed in them.
They pledged their unwavering loyalty to the party, its constitution, assuring that they would work diligently to promote unity and strengthen the party at the grassroots.
