Many communities of Agbaja kingdom spread over 5 LGAs of Enugu state are set to compete for the ultimate prize in a cultural carnival promoted as part of the 2-day Agbaja Summit 2025.

These communities, having been fully mobilised in the past months, are expected to thrill with dance, masquerades as well as other artistic presentations on the second day of the summit.

FRED IWENJORA reports that on wednesday, November 26, 2025, opening day, summit organisers have laid out a colloquium for education, skills acquisition, business and entrepreneurship  workshops for youths and business owners at Amadeo Center Enugu while a big cultural carnival will light up the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, Enugu on day 2; thursday 27, November, 2025.

Chairman planning committee of Agbaja Summit 2025 Prof Chike Anibeze hinted that “we are set to roll” . Already, the Amedeo Event centre is so decorated for the skills acquisition, workshops and trainings. He further said “the resource persons and international guests are already in the Coal city. Again a visit to the Nnamdi  Azikiwe stadium venue for the cultural expose will reveal we mean business”

Anibeze  assured that with the backing of the Board of Trustees chaired by former Minister of Power Prof Chinedu Nebo, members of the 2025 summit planning committee and indeed all members of Agbaja Forum the 2025 Agbaja Summit  will build on the successes of the past edition and will be simply most educative, informative and entertaining.

“We have plans to also honor distinguished Agbaja people who one way or the other have contributed to the progress and development of our people”.

One very unique feature in the Agbaja Summit 2025, he said “is that Enugu is also hosting the National Arts Festival (Nafest) within same week,  “which will creat excitement in the city.”

In a rather very humorous submission, Prof Anibeze gushed “Won’t you rather be in Enugu this season? “

Also speaking Chief Sheddy Ozoene, Head of publicity sub committee disclosed that “aside the workshops on day one, visitors to Enugu and culture enthusiasts should endeavour to be at  the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium for a cultural show like never seen.

“All Agbaja communities will present their best with lots of prizes to be won”
