Vincent Kompany expects his Bayern Munich side to leave everything on the pitch when they face Paris Saint-Germain next week in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final clash.

Bayern fell short on Tuesday night in Paris, losing 5-4 in what was a classic, and now look forward to the return tie.

Despite going ahead through Harry Kane, Bayern went behind 5-2 at some point, and have Dayot Upamecano and Luiz Diaz to thank for a late show to reduce the deficit.

“We’ll give absolutely everything, really everything we have, even if we have to die on the pitch. We believe,” Kompany said in a post-match comment.

The Belgian hopes to get the full backing of the home fans when PSG comes visiting, calling for the fittest people to show support and contribution.

“If someone bought a ticket and feels unwell on the day of the game… stay at home and give your ticket to the fittest of people who can contribute to this FORTRESS that is the Allianz Arena. We must win the game, and we need the support of 75,000 people in the stadium. They have to play the game with us”. He said

Bayern is raring for another Champions League trophy to add to their collection after last winning it in the 2019/20 season, beating PSG 1-0 on that occasion.

Defending Champions PSG will try to stop that plan, as they also hope to follow in the footsteps of Real Madrid with a back-to-back Champions League title win.
