Transfer: ‘You’re not Van Basten’ -Sacchi slams Hojlund over reluctance to join AC Milan

AC Milan legend, Arrigo Sacchi, has slammed Rasmus Hojlund of Manchester United for not joining the Serie A giants as a great opportunity.

Sacchi is disappointed that the Danish star has not shown the willingness to move to San Siro as soon as he got the call from the Italians expressing their Interest to sign him.

The former Serie A star told La Gazzetta dello Sport that AC Milan would be another chance for the striker to play regularly.

According to him, Hojlund will not be offered such an opportunity at Manchester United this season.

“We’re not talking about van Basten, nor are we talking about one of the strongest centre-forwards in Europe at the moment,” he said.

“He’s a decent player, nothing more…I don’t understand his choice. If Milan calls you, you pack your bags and get on the first plane to Malpensa.

“Milan, in the world of football, is a mystical name. Of course, Man United is also a legendary team. But on the one hand, there is a club, Milan, which is offering you a permanent job, and on the other hand, there is a club that is doing everything to try and sell you. What would you choose?”

The Italian giants are said to be keen on bringing in a striker before the summer transfer window closes and see Hojlund as the perfect fit for their squad.
