Senator Orji Kalu mourns late former agriculture minister Audu Ogbeh

Abuja – Former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, has been described as a man of “uncommon wisdom, humility, and integrity” by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, following news of the elder statesman’s passing.
In a heartfelt condolence message issued on Saturday, Senator Kalu, who represents Abia North Senatorial District, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Ogbeh, whom he hailed as a true patriot with an unmatched passion for national development, particularly in the agriculture and rural development sectors.
“I am deeply sorry to hear about the passing of former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh. He was a man of uncommon wisdom, humility, and integrity. His passion for the growth of our nation, especially in agriculture and rural development, was unmatched. Nigeria has lost a true patriot,” Kalu stated.
Extending his sympathies, the senator conveyed his condolences to the Ogbeh family, the government and people of Benue State, and the entire nation.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Ogbeh family, the government and people of Benue State, and all Nigerians mourning the elder statesman. I pray to God to grant him eternal rest and give his family the strength to bear the loss,” he added.
Chief Audu Ogbeh, a seasoned politician, farmer, and elder statesman, served Nigeria in various capacities, most notably as Minister of Agriculture under President Muhammadu Buhari. He was known for championing agricultural reforms and promoting food security initiatives across the country.
