Peter Obi visits Isaac Fayose, disowns online attackers [VIDEO]
Presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, on Saturday paid a visit to one of his prominent supporters, Isaac Fayose, in Abuja.
The visit followed the controversy surrounding Fayose’s recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.
DAILY POST recalls that Fayose had on Thursday night met with Seyi Tinubu and popular socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
According to a viral video, during the meeting, they offered prayers for President Bola Tinubu, themselves and the nation.
The meeting, however, sparked criticism from some supporters of the NDC flagbearer, who alleged that Fayose had been financially compromised.
Responding in another viral video, Fayose dismissed the allegations and condemned his critics.
The popular businessman pointed out his sacrifices toward Obi’s presidential ambition since 2023.
Less than 24 hours after Fayose’s outburst, Obi visited the businessman at his Abuja residence.
In a video shared on Fayose’s Instagram page on Saturday, the former Anambra State governor was seen engaging in a light-hearted conversation with his Fayose.
Addressing the online backlash, Obi suggested that many of those behind the online attacks were not “following” him.
He said, “Half of the people that abused you don’t follow us. What they do is hire people to call others all sorts of names.”
