Alex Birbir, an American missionary, has lashed out at President Bola Tinubu over the Palm Sunday killing in Plateau State.
Recall that gunmen suspected to be terrorists had stormed the Gari Ya Waye community, Angwan Rukuba, Jos, Plateau State, killing scores on Sunday evening.
The killing led angry residents to the streets on Monday in Plateau, demanding an end to the violence.
In a now-viral video making the rounds on X, Alex Birbir said, “In Rukuba, they just murdered over 10 people, innocent Christians, on Palm Sunday. Tinubu, where are you? As your people are slaughtered in the night, as you sit in Aso Rock and you do absolutely nothing, you allow your people to be killed again and again and again and again. When will it stop? When will you hear the cries of Nigerians, of Christians? You can no longer deny genocide. They’re being slaughtered. And you say there’s no issue. You will regret what you are doing.”
DAILY POST reports that Birbir’s viral video attacking President Tinubu had reignited debate over his agenda in Nigeria.
Recall that in October, United States President Donald Trump designated Nigeria as a ‘Country of Particular Concern’ over continued killing of Christians.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian government has denied a Christian genocide in the country.
