ABUJA- FOLLOWING the recent kidnapping of 39 students, seven teachers, and beheading one of the teachers in Ahoro Esinele community, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, a leading opposition political party, Because Of Our Tomorrow, BOOT, Party, Wednesday, accused President Bola Tinubu of failing to secure Nigerians almost three years in office.

Speaking with Vanguard, the National Chairman of the party, Sonny Adenuga, expressed pain over the incessant killings of Nigerians on daily basis, advising Nigerians to be very vigilant to secure their lives.

Adenuga said as a grassroots man and farmer, he always watch the road and adjourning environments in order not to be taken unawares, and added that the Tinubu-led administration needs to sit up.

He said: “Whatever Mr. President is doing, three years down the road, and it is a shame on this government that for three good years they decided to be playing politics, even on issues of security. So, what I am going to say to the Nigerians is that you need to be more vigilant.

He also tasked the government to change strategy to ensure the lives and property of Nigerians are fully covered, “This government, I repeat it again, has ignored, and taken a year in security, and whatever they are doing, they really need to sit up and start to work and see how they can stop security. If any security apparatus gets used, it affects the cost of food, it affects our livelihoods.”

Meanwhile, according to him, most Nigerians want to travel home for Salah celebration but they cannot go because their communities are under siege by armed terrorists and hoodlums.

However, the BOOT Party National Chairman counseled that, “We need to bring in experts, not the same set of things. I think probably to give the President some ideas, and these are some ideas that have been tested everywhere in the world.”
