NPFL: Ihemekwele returns to Enyimba training after injury layoff

Enyimba has received a timely boost with the return of striker Ifeanyi Ihemekwele ahead of the resumption of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, second stanza.

Ihemekwele recently returned from an injury layoff.

DAILY POST recalls that Ihemekwele picked up the injury in the People’s Elephant Abia State President Federation Cup final against Ahudiyannem FC last season.

The forward rejoined his teammates in preparation for the resumption for the second stanza of the NPFL season.

Ihemekwele netted four goals in 25 appearances for Enyimba last term.

Meanwhile the duo of Ekene Awazie and Uwana Asuquo are also close to regaining full fitness after spending time on the sidelines.

Enyimba will battle with Barau FC when the second stanza begins on Wednesday 14th January.
