The Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, has moved to dispel widespread misinformation over student welfare payments, firmly clarifying that the approved monthly upkeep allowance for beneficiaries remains N20,000, not N25,000 as being circulated in some quarters.

In a statement issued Monday in Abuja, the Fund urged students and the general public to disregard the erroneous reports and rely strictly on verified updates from its official communication channels.

NELFUND, in the statement signed by Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, its Director of Strategic Communications, reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and efficient service delivery, assuring beneficiaries that all disbursements and policy updates would be clearly communicated to avoid confusion.

The agency also expressed appreciation for the cooperation of students nationwide, noting that its mandate remains focused on providing accessible and student-centred financial support.

Students seeking further clarification or assistance were advised to contact the Fund via its official email and social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
