NAF jets conduct precision strikes on terrorist enclaves in Sambisa Forest

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, carried out precision air interdiction missions on identified terrorist locations in the ARRA area of the Sambisa Forest.

According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF, the operation marked a significant step forward in ongoing counterterrorism efforts.

Ejodame said the airstrikes were executed by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai after a series of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions detected movements linked to the 17 October attack on ground troops near Kashomri.

He explained that sustained ISR coverage over Kashomri and parts of the Sambisa axis revealed suspicious activity and several active structures in ARRA, prompting a coordinated strike.

NAF aircraft, he said, engaged the designated targets in successive passes, resulting in the destruction of the identified locations.

Ejodame noted that the operation disrupted the group’s operational, command, and logistical capabilities.

He added that the mission reflected the Air Force’s continued support to ground troops and its commitment to countering security threats across all operational theatres.
