Invitation to City Boy rally in Owerri insult to Igbo youths – OYC

The Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC has rejected the official invitation given to it for the City Boy Movement rally in Owerri, Imo State, saying it is an affront on Igbo youths.

The OYC, a statement by its National President, Igboayaka O. Igboayaka on Thursday, also advised all Igbo youths to shun the Owerri rally being organized to honour Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu.

According to Igboayaka, it was wrong to invite the Ohanaeze Youth Council to the City Boy rally in Owerri in the light of the imprisonment of the leader pf the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, by the federal government.

The OYC also alleged that the founder of City Boy Movement is flying in Jets and displaying wealth at a time when many Nigerian youths are struggling with poverty, unemployment, and hardship.

“The Seyi Tinubu City Boy Movement event in Owerri is just a political event but an orchestrated event to mock Ndigbo, especially Igbo youths on the continuous incarceration and imprisonment of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,” Ignoayaka said.
