How to upload O’Level results from home — JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system allowing candidates to upload their O’Level results from home without visiting a Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre.

The new process enables JAMB to verify candidates’ results directly with examination bodies, beginning with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

JAMB’s Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, announced the development in a statement on Monday, explaining that the initiative was designed to make the process easier and reduce errors associated with manual uploads.

According to Benjamin, the board can now verify candidates’ Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results directly from the examination bodies that conducted them.

“As a responsive organisation committed to providing efficient and accessible services, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has facilitated the verification of candidates’ O’Level results directly from the various examination bodies responsible for conducting the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, beginning with the West African Examinations Council.”

Why JAMB introduced the new O’Level upload system

JAMB said the new technology-driven process is intended to address several challenges associated with the previous manual method of uploading results at CBT centres.

These include misplaced or mixed-up result documents, submission of fraudulent or unverified results and mistakes arising from candidates manually entering their subjects and grades.

Benjamin said the initiative would also reduce unnecessary trips to CBT centres and help candidates avoid long queues and delays, particularly during busy periods.

“By using technology to reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, queues and manual processes, JAMB is putting candidate ease of service delivery at the centre of its operations.”

How to upload your O’Level result from home

Candidates who want to use the new system are required to follow these steps:

Visit the result verification platform and enter your NIN, then select “Verify NIN.”

Choose the number of sittings and the relevant examination body before clicking “Continue.”

Enter your email address and phone number, select “Pay Now” and complete the payment using a debit card or bank transfer.

Provide your examination number, series and year to obtain your Verification Code.

Send “VERIFY” followed by your Verification Code to 55019 or 66019. Your result will then be uploaded and you will receive a notification.

Candidates with two sittings should log in to the JAMB e-Facility portal and select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.” Enter the Verification Code and select between five and nine subjects, ensuring that no subject is entered more than once.

Click “Apply the O’Level Results” to complete the process and receive confirmation.

JAMB said it would continue to work with examination bodies and other government agencies to improve its services and make them more accessible to candidates.

The board noted that the new system is particularly expected to reduce difficulties caused by network congestion and heavy traffic at CBT centres during peak admission periods.
