Gov Zulum appoints retired colonel as coordinator of Borno Civilian JTF

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has approved the appointment of Col. Yahaya Gambo (Rtd) as coordinator of the Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF.

A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Bukar Tijani, said the appointment is aimed at improving the efficiency of the CJTF to sustain the fight against insurgency and consolidate peace in the state.

Gambo, from Kaga Local Government Area, is a retired Army Colonel with experience in safety, security, conflict resolution, and disaster management.

He previously served as Chief of Staff at the Intelligence Support Command in Lagos and, since 2018, as Chief Security Officer at Dangote Fertilizer Limited.

The statement added that the new coordinator will operate under the Ministry of Information and Internal Security.
