FCT projects: Tinubu’s support, insistence on timely delivery fueling our successes – Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, says President Bola Tinubu’s support and dedication to finishing projects on time are the main reasons for the progress in infrastructure in the territory.
Wike stated this on Wednesday in Abuja after inspecting ongoing projects across the FCT, highlighting that Tinubu closely monitored project implementation due to his strong commitment to the wellbeing of FCT residents and quality service delivery.
He said: “Mr President is not only giving us support, but also ensuring that the jobs are completed on time and to the expected quality. At Arterial Road S1, from Ring Road II to the FCT Fire Service Station in Kaura District.”
Wike praised the speed and quality of the work, saying he is hopeful the project will be finished and handed over within the next five months.
He also inspected the construction of two student hostels, one for males and one for females, and expressed satisfaction with the female hostel, which was scheduled to be completed by November.
“I believe the contractor working on the female hostel is doing a good job, and we should support him to keep up the same speed. It seems like a good effort, but I’m not really satisfied with the work that’s been done so far.”
Wike said that even though there might be some uncertainty, the contractor has promised to deliver by October or November.
He also mentioned the award of a contract for the construction of an auditorium at the school, stating that the contractor will soon begin work.
