Family announces burial plans for late Afenifere leader, Fasoranti

The family of the late Afenifere Leader, Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti, has announced his burial plans, showing that his remains will be buried on December 17, 2026.
According to the programme of activities signed on behalf of the family by the Secretary to the Ondo State Government and his son, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti:
“The family of late Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti, CFR, is pleased to announce the burial arrangements of our beloved patriarch, leader of Afenifere and foremost nationalist, who passed away at the age of 100 years.
“Burial arrangements are as follows: Christian Wake Keeping Service: Wednesday, 16th December, 2026
Venue: His residence at Omolere Nursery and Primary School Compound
Time: 4:00 p.m.
“Funeral Service & Interment: Thursday, 17th December, 2026
Venue: St. David’s Cathedral, Ijomu, Akure
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Interment will follow immediately after the service at the Church Cemetery.
“Reception: Guests will be entertained at his residence immediately after the interment.
“Outing & Thanksgiving Service: Sunday, 20th December, 2026
Venue: St. David’s Cathedral, Ijomu, Akure
Time: 10:00 a.m.
“We request your prayers and presence as we honour the memory of a distinguished elder and patriot.”
