EPL: Arteta gives Arsenal injury updates ahead Everton clash

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has given injury updates on his squad ahead of this weekend’s Premier League trip to Everton.
The Gunners would be looking to at least maintain their two-point lead at the top of the table with a win.
But Arteta will not be able to count on several key players.
Ben White picked up a hamstring problem in the 2-1 win over Wolves last Saturday.
Arteta, speaking about White on Friday, said: “He’s not a major injury, but it will keep him out for a few games, I think.
“Ben is a really fast healer as well, so there’s hope that we’re going to have him in the next few games.”
On reports that Kai Havertz has suffered an injury setback, Arteta said: “He’s progressing really well and quite fast in the last few weeks.
“We are really positive that if everything continues like that in the next training sessions, he’s going to be with us soon.”
Arteta also spoke about Gabriel’s recovery from injury.
The Brazilian defender is currently recovering from a thigh/abductor injury picked up during the November international break and will miss the Everton game on Saturday.
He said: “He’s pushing hard, as he always does every time he’s out and he’s evolving really well.
“He’s doing pitch sessions, so he’s not too far.
“We have to see in the last stages of that rehab how he progresses but we are quite positive about it.”
