‘Ebonyi State huge construction joke under Nwifuru’ – Oluchukwu
A public affairs analyst, Paschal Oluchukwu, has said Ebonyi State has become “a huge construction joke” under the incumbent governor, Francis Nwifuru.
Oluchukwu made the assertion in a statement on Thursday.
Recall that in a viral video, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi, raised the alarm over the poor quality of construction while inspecting a two-span bridge connecting Odomoke and Ekelibe in Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Reacting, Oluchukwu said he had repeatedly raised concerns about the poor quality of construction in Ebonyi State under the leadership of Nwifuru, who ironically styles himself as a ‘Builder’.
“Ebonyi has become a huge construction joke under Gov. Nwifuru,” he said.
Oluchukwu further highlighted what he described as troubling revelations of alleged fiscal recklessness under the Nwifuru administration.
He added that, in the past three years, Governor Nwifuru has yet to account for a single meaningful project across the state, despite receiving huge allocations from the Federation Account Allocation Committee, FAAC.
“We are worried that, over three years into office, Gov. Nwifuru has failed to fully deliver and commission any single meaningful project in the state despite the humongous allocations,” he stated.
