Couple abducted by bandits regain freedom in Kwara community


A couple, kidnapped in Ekko village via Lafiagi, in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, Malam Manko and his wife, Rakiya, regained freedom on Sunday night, DAILY POST reports.
They have been reunited with their families and community, according to the Secretary, Lafiagi Emirate Council.
The latest development brings to seven the number of kidnap victims who have so far regained their freedom from their captors.
It could not be confirmed if any ransom was paid before their release.
Efforts to reach the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, in Ilorin, on Sunday were not successful.
