APC wooing Kwankwaso to remain in power beyond 2027 – NNPP chair

PDP now an empty house - NNPP

KANO — The Chairman, Kano State Chapter of New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Hashimu Dungurawa, has said that the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC, is wooing Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso and is desperately in need of the two-term former governor to remain in power beyond 2027.

He said Kwankwaso remains a force to reckon with to help the APC to win the 2027 general elections.

Dungurawa disclosed this while addressing newsmen in Kano.

He said Kwankwaso has the popularity and mass support the party needs to survive the next general elections.

According to him, “This APC are weak, confused and has lost direction. That was why they were looking for better option. And the only better option they have is Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Without him, they will be nowhere to be found in 2027.

“Because they have the belief he is the only person with the popularity and has the popular support to help them win election. And that was why they were dreaming that he is coming to join the party. Has he ever said that he wants them? They are the ones making noise. You will see them enter this corner. We are talking with Kwankwaso. Because they have done nothing right for Nigerians. They have distorted everything in Nigeria. Hardship is increasing, insecurity is rising, the safest state in Nigeria is only Kano and look at how they are encroaching on our bordering local governments.

“So definitely, APC is not doing their job. And the only person who will help them to get that popular vote is Kwankwaso.

“They (APC) are looking for him and he is out for the betterment of Nigerians. And if it necessitated him to enter APC, they should amend their ways of administering this country. If they can revert to how things are supposed to be, why not?” Dungurawa stated.
