APC busy with propaganda while Lagosians suffer —  PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos State has chided the All Progressives Congress, APC, accusing it of focusing on propaganda and interference in the opposition’s affairs while citizens grapple with worsening economic conditions.

The party, in a statement by itsPublicity Secretary, Mr. Christopher Odianarewo, said recent remarks by the APC spokesman in Lagos, Mr Seye Oladejo, were “delusional and unsolicited.”

The opposition party said it was ironic that a party presiding over what it described as one of the most harrowing economic era in the country’s history has the temerity to discuss expiration when it’s their own relevance in the hearts of the suffering Nigerians that has long rotted. 

It said: “The APC in Lagos and at the centre should be more concerned with covering their faces in collective shame rather than acting as busy bodies in the internal affairs of the PDP.”

The PDP alleged that Nigerians, particularly Lagos residents, are facing severe hardship under the APC led government, saying the current administration has turned the economy into a “laboratory of poverty, where many citizens struggle to afford basic nutrition.”

It also accused the ruling party of mismanaging public resources and allowing infrastructure to deteriorate. The statement said: “Our state’s resources have been treated as a private estate, siphoned into the pockets of a few godfathers while public infrastructure remains a pay-to-use burden on the poor.

“If the APC had spent half the energy they use monitoring the PDP on governing Lagos State, our roads wouldn’t be death traps and our youth wouldn’t be fleeing the country in droves.

“The PDP is not expiring; it is reinventing and refining itself to rescue Nigerians from the stranglehold of the APC undertakers who are currently burying the dreams of our citizens.”
