AFCON: Iwobi took risk – Asisat Oshoala speaks out after Nigeria’s win over Egypt

Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala has insisted that Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi took a risk by playing a penalty against Egypt in the AFCON third-place playoff on Saturday.
Recall that Nigeria defeated Egypt 4-2 on penalties after the match ended goalless after 90 minutes.
Iwobi was one of the Super Eagles players who converted his penalty kick during the shoot-out.
His teammate Stanley Nwabali saved both Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush’s penalty kicks.
Reacting, Oshoala, in a post on X after the match, also said she loves how the Super Eagles played against Egypt.
“Iwobi took the risk. He took a pen [penalty] Nahhhhh these boys are having fun, and I love it #EGYNGA,” the former Barcelona and Arsenal star wrote.
