AFCON 2025: Ndidi banned for Super Eagles semi-final against Morocco

The Super Eagles will be without captain Wilfred Ndidi for their semi-final fixture against Morocco at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

This follows his booking in the 2-0 win over Algeria on Saturday.

Ndidi, who received a yellow card in the victory over Mozambique, was walking the disciplinary tightrope alongside Calvin Bassey and Frank Onyeka.

But the midfielder is the only one who got another yellow against the Desert Foxes.

He will now serve a one-match ban against Morocco.

Ndidi will be available for selection for either the third-place play-off or the final, depending on how Nigeria fare in their semi-final clash.
