2027: Step down if you are not working for Tinubu – Adeyanju to Peter Obi, Kwankwaso

2027: Step down if you are not working for Tinubu – Adeyanju to Peter Obi, Kwankwaso

Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju has suggested a step that the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, must take to show that they are not working for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.

Adeyanju said Obi and Kwankwaso should step down from the presidential race if they are not working for Tinubu’s re-election.

Posting on X, he wrote: “If Obi and Kwankwaso step down from the race, I will believe they are no longer working for President Tinubu like they did in 2023.”

Recently, the human rights lawyer claimed that Obi and Kwankwaso were working for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Adeyanju claimed that any vote for the duo would be a vote for Tinubu. He urged Nigerians not to vote for them.

Amid Adeyanju’s claims, Kwankwaso insisted that the NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was giving Tinubu sleepless nights.

Kwankwaso said the former Anambra State governor was popular in the South, while Northerners were being mobilised to support him.

He claimed that Tinubu was concerned about Obi’s personality and level of popularity.

Meanwhile, Kwankwaso disclosed that he had asked Fulani groups to prevail on the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to step down from the presidential race.
