2027: Senate spokesman Adaramodu emerges Ekiti South APC consensus candidate

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti South Senatorial District have announced Senate spokesman, Adeyemi Adaramodu, as the consensus candidate for the 2027 polls.

Party stakeholders across the six local government councils which make up the district conveyed this decision in a letter addressed to the Ekiti State APC chairman and the State Executive Council.

The letter, which was signed by the district party chairman, Akinwale Olusola and five other party executives on behalf of the party’s stockholders, said the decision was taken after due consultations with party leaders and stakeholders.

A copy of the letter and the minutes of the meeting were made available to newsmen in Abuja on Saturday.

The letter to the Ekiti State APC Executive Committee read in part: “Following due consultations with stakeholders, leaders, and members of the all progressives congress in ward, local governments and district and in line with directive of the party to adopt consensus where possible, we hereby avail an affirm that Senator Adeyemi Rapheal Adaramodu has emerged as the consensus candidate of our party for the position of Senator in the forth coming senatorial election (2027).

“This decision was reached on Monday, 13th of April 2026, at a meeting of stakeholders.

“Held at Senatorial office, Moshood Road, opposite His Excellency Sir. Abiodun Aluko house… with overwhelming support and without dissent.

“The choice of Senator Adeyemi Rapheal Adaramodu reflects the will of the party members and the need for unity, stability and victory for APC in our district.

“We therefore present him to the state party working committee as our daily affirmed consensus candidate and request that all necessary steps be taken to formalise his candidacy.”
