We gave them chances yet they failed us – Wike on FCT development

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday said he would not make the mistake of allowing those who could not develop the capital city “kill” him.
Wike made the remark while urging residents of the FCT to dismiss critics of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking during the flag-off of the rehabilitation of 15km old Keffi Road from Kado, Wike insisted that Tinubu is working.
He said: “Out of 103 schools, 73 are undergoing construction, 33 will be flagged down soon. Out of 105, 73 of the schools are in Amak, that is the city.
“So, you don’t need to make a mistake again, don’t allow people who come and tell you stories. Now, seeing is believing. Is that not correct? Seeing is believing.
“Don’t bother about those who are not serious, don’t bother about those who had opportunities to contribute to bring meaningful development to this country and to Abuja, they did not do it.
“Today, Mr. President is changing the narratives as far as Abuja is concerned. And I think we will not make that mistake of looking for people who don’t know if we give them the third chance, what will happen to us?
“We gave them the first chance, they failed us. We give them the second chance, they failed us. If we make a mistake of the third chance, they will kill you. Do you want to be killed?
“So, we have no alternative than the present government that has done all its best to change things better for Nigerians and for Abuja people.”
