Verify before you engage, ADC Lagos warns against fake leaders

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Lagos State Executive Committee has warned supporters to verify the authenticity of party officials in the state before engaging in any activities.
In a recent statement, the Director of Communication for the Lagos chapter of the ADC, Mabel Oboh, encouraged the public to verify the identities of individuals and groups claiming to represent the ADC in the state.
The party would like to reaffirm that Hon. George Ashiru serves as the legitimate State Chairman, while Hon. Festus Duru holds the position of State Secretary for ADC Lagos State. The committee urges the community to be cautious and report any claims of leadership that do not come from the recognised party officials.
Mabel Oboh highlighted the necessity of confirming the legitimacy of any group or individual asserting to be ADC leaders. She stated, “We encourage everyone to contact the party’s office in Abuja or the INEC offices to validate any claims before engaging with these groups.”
With a growing number of new members joining the ADC, the party emphasises the need for vigilance against fraudulent groups that may aim to mislead. “In light of ongoing coalitions, we want to ensure that new members are aware of potential deception and can align with the genuine ADC mission,” Oboh noted.
The ADC Lagos State Executive Committee is dedicated to upholding the party’s integrity and ensuring that all representatives are authorised to act on behalf of the ADC. We invite the public to assist us in maintaining transparency and to report any questionable activities or individuals misrepresenting the party.
For verification and to confirm the legitimacy of ADC leaders, please reach out to the party’s office in Abuja or the INEC offices. Your support in this matter is greatly valued.
