UEFA Super Cup: Dembele names 4 players who helped PSG beat Tottenham

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Ousmane Dembele, has named four of his teammates who helped Luis Enrique’s side defeat Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday night in Italy.

Recall that Tottenham was close to winning the UEFA Super Cup after leading 2-0 in the first 84 minutes, thanks to goals from Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.

But PSG equalized late in the game, thanks to goals from substitutes Lee Kang-in and Goncalo Ramos.

The French Ligue 1 champions eventually won 4-3 on penalties after the game ended in a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes.

Speaking to PSG TV after the game, Dembele singled out the likes of Ramos, Ibrahim Mbaye, Kang-in, and Fabian Ruiz, insisting that the four players helped Luis Enrique’s men a lot to get the victory.

“It’s amazing. Honestly, at 2-0, we thought it was going to be tough, especially in the 85th minute. But we tried to stay in the game, thinking that with one goal, anything could happen,” Dembele said.

“And as I said, the substitutions of Lee Kang-In, Fabian Ruiz, Ibrahim, and Gonçalo helped us a lot.

“The fans were exceptional, from start to finish. We could lose two or three nil, they will still be there pushing us on. It feels good; as we say, they are the twelfth man and they push us all the time, it’s huge.”
