Trump sets record for longest state of the union address
U.S. President Donald Trump delivered the longest State of the Union address on record on Wednesday, speaking for approximately 1 hour and 48 minutes before Congress.
According to data compiled by the American Presidency Project, the speech was the longest since record-keeping began in 1964.
The previous record of about 1 hour and 29 minutes was set by former President Bill Clinton during his 2000 address.
