Transfer: Why I sell my best players to Chelsea – Brighton owner, Bloom

Brighton and Hove Albion’s Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Tony Bloom, has revealed why he sells the club’s best players to rivals Chelsea.
According to him, the Blues have emerged as one of his best customers and are always coming back for more.
Brazilian forward Joao Pedro is the latest Brighton player to join Chelsea this summer.
Pedro linked up and made an instant impact with the Chelsea squad at the Club World Cup after a £50m deal was reached with Brighton.
Chelsea beat off competition from Premier League rivals Newcastle United to land Pedro this summer.
Bloom, during a press conference on Friday, was asked why he is always selling the club’s best players to Chelsea and if he has a sort of special relationship with the Blues.
He said, “As I’ve said many times, they’re my best customer.
“We wish Joao well. And, you know, Chelsea have got loyalty points with me. They keep coming back.”
