Transfer: ‘So bravely’ – Zazzaroni on Lookman’s reaction to Atalanta’s handling of his move to Inter

Italian football pundit, Ivan Zazzaroni, has described as brave, Ademola Lookman’s reaction to Atalanta’s handling of his transfer to Inter Milan.

The Nigeria International has made it clear he wants to join Inter Milan, but his club appear to be frustrating the deal.

The forward recently removed all references to the former Europa League champions from his Instagram profile.

This was after Atalanta rejected Inter Milan’s €45 million offer.

Lookman had taken down his own profile photo, the writing ‘player for Atalanta’ and all images that can be traced back to the club from his Instagram page.

“‘Ade’ Lookman has kept only his [also sporting] Nigerian identity. This is how he reacted, so bravely, to Percassi’s no to Inter,” Zazzaroni wrote on Instagram.

Speaking, Zazzaroni said that Inter Chief executive officer, Giuseppe Marotta, already thinks that Atalanta’s attitude was a sign that Lookman is highly valued.

DAILY POST reported that Atalanta had rejected Inter Milan’s €45 million without any counteroffer.

This has left Inter uncertain about Atalanta’s true asking price for the Nigerian star.

A subsequent phone call between Marotta and Atalanta president, Antonio Percassi reportedly ended without clarification, further fuelling the standoff.
