Temitope Osoba’s family denies reports on circumstances of her death
The family of Temitope Osoba has dismissed reports circulating on social media and some online platforms concerning the circumstances surrounding her death, describing them as false, speculative and unauthorised.
In an official statement posted on her Instagram page, the family expressed sadness over what it described as the spread of unverified information at a difficult period for her loved ones.
The family urged members of the public to disregard the reports and refrain from sharing content that could further deepen their grief.
“On behalf of the family and loved ones of Temitope Osoba, we are deeply saddened by the spread of false and unverified reports concerning the passing of our beloved,” the statement read.
The family stated that the various claims circulating about her death were “false, speculative, and entirely unauthorized,” stressing that no official information had been released on the matter.
“We respectfully urge the public to refrain from sharing or promoting misinformation that only adds to the pain our family is already enduring,” it added.
The family appealed for privacy and understanding, saying they needed time to mourn without the added burden of rumours and sensational reports.
It assured the public and the media that any information the family chooses to release would be communicated through official channels and authorised representatives.
“We ask the public and members of the media to rely solely on those official statements and to disregard all unverified reports,” the statement added.
The family of Awonuga/Osoba thanked members of the public for their prayers, love and support, while appealing for respect for Temitope Osoba’s memory and the family’s privacy during the mourning period.
