Reactions online over Gov Adeleke’s rally dance, love declarations ahead Osun polls

The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has stirred online reactions after a video captured him repeatedly declaring love for residents and dancing at a political rally in Osogbo.

The clip, which surfaced on Friday, showed Adeleke addressing supporters during a gathering held alongside the Osun State Cooperative Movement, where he told the crowd “I love you” several times before performing one of his well known dance routines.

The rally comes ahead of the state’s governorship election, with the governor using the platform to call on voters to remain vigilant and resist any attempt to manipulate the electoral process.

The event, attended by party supporters and cooperative members, formed part of ongoing political activities in Osun as campaigns intensify in the lead-up to the polls.

Governor Adeleke’s remarks and dance performance have since generated mixed reactions on social media.

A supporter identified as, Apa Nation expressed admiration for the governor, writing, “We love our governor so much as well, and we are re-electing him back to office come Aug. 8 by God’s grace.”

Another user, Abbey, criticised the development, describing the governor as “a clown in the office of governor,” adding that “how the ruling class contrive to foist characters like this on their people is nothing short of wickedness.”

Meanwhile, Damilola took a swipe at the opposition, saying, “Don’t let All Progressives Congress in Osun State hear or watch this, because they will start crying.”
