No fewer than three security operatives were shot dead on Wednesday by suspected Fulani bandits in Idadu, Agbashi development area in Doma local government.

The victims include a police officer attached to the Agbashi Police Division and two vigilante officers.

According to the source, the three operatives were on joint patrol along Doma-Idadu Road when the bandits ambushed and opened fire on them.

Recall seven persons have been killed by these bandits in less than one week in neighbouring communities of Keana and Doma.

The style of operations and the weapons carried by these perpetrators are the commando type, where they shot their victims without any form of provocation or negotiation.

The killing is happening at a time when the state government said it has stepped up security measures to stamp out incessant killings and criminalities in the state.

However, no single person has been arrested since the spate of killings that continued to spread across communities in recent times.

Residents have continued to express worry over recent killings and loudly call for international intervention to end terrorism in the country.
