Plateau Police Command mourns senior officer’s death

JOS – Plateau State has lost a senior police officer following a brief illness.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Galadima Lassa, who led the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in the Plateau State Police Command, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday.

In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Alfred Alabo, described ACP Lassa as “a disciplined, dutiful, and committed officer dedicated to his official duties.” The statement highlighted his significant contributions to combating crime in the state and noted that he would be deeply missed by the command.

“The entire command mourns his loss and extends heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and the wider police community,” the statement added.

Details regarding the nature of his illness or funeral arrangements have not been disclosed.
