Oyo fire agency recovers two bodies, rescues one

Oyo State Fire Service has recovered two bodies from the scene of an accident in Ibadan, the state capital.
One person was also rescued alive during the incident which occurred at Arapaja Bridge, in the Kudeti area of Ibadan on Tuesday.
It was learnt that a Lexus Jeep 360 with registration number KSF297JF lost control while on motion, before it summersaulted into the nearby gutter and caught fire.
The bodies of two males were recovered by the fire agency at the scene, while one person was rescued alive.
Chairman, Oyo State Fire Service, Hon Maroof Akinwande confirmed the incident.
Akinwande, in a statement made available to DAILY POST Tuesday evening, noted that the bodies of the two persons have been handed over to the policemen from Mapo division.
He said, “The accident was a result of reckless driving.
“The Nigerian Police Mapo Divisional headquarters was highly commendable for security cover during the operation”.
