Orji Kalu congratulates Oyebanji on re-election victory in Ekiti

Former Abia State Governor and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his victory in the state governorship election.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Kalu described the outcome of the poll as a clear indication of the confidence, trust and overwhelming support Oyebanji enjoys among the people of Ekiti State.

The former Senate Chief Whip said the governor’s victory reflected public appreciation of his leadership style, people-oriented policies, commitment to good governance and developmental achievements.

According to him, the electorate reaffirmed their belief in continuity, stability and purposeful governance by renewing Oyebanji’s mandate.

Kalu also commended voters for their peaceful conduct during the election and praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and other stakeholders for ensuring a credible electoral process.

He expressed optimism that Oyebanji’s second term would further drive infrastructural development, economic growth, youth empowerment and social progress in the state.

“I heartily congratulate my dear brother, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on this well-deserved and emphatic victory. The outcome of the election reflects the confidence the people of Ekiti State have in your leadership and the remarkable work your administration has done over the years,” Kalu said.

He added that the renewed mandate would inspire greater service and more developmental achievements for the people of Ekiti State.

The senator also prayed for wisdom, strength and divine guidance for the governor as he begins another term in office.
