NPFL warns clubs against participating in unauthorised youth competitions

NPFL clubs have been warned against participating in any youth league not sanctioned by the board.

A number of clubs have been participating in the N-Youth League, a tournament designed for the discovery of youth talents.

The NPFL, however, declared that N-Youth League has no affiliation with the board.

The league organisers declared that it is the only body alongside the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, that is authorised to host youth competitions in the country.

It further said the clubs can’t afford to be participating in the same competition with lower division, and amateur clubs.

Erring clubs will be sanctioned by the NPFL.
