Niger Delta Ex-Agitators endorse Tinubu for 2027, cite Seyi’s humanitarian intervention

ABUJA — The Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Leadership Forum has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027, citing his administration’s policies and the humanitarian interventions of his son, Seyi Tinubu, including a life-saving medical support for one of its members.

The endorsement was announced on Saturday in a statement by the forum’s National Coordinator, General Benson, who said the group had unanimously agreed to support the President’s second-term bid.

According to the forum, which comprises stakeholders advocating peace, stability, and development in the Niger Delta region, it has closely observed the Tinubu administration and concluded that the President deserves a continuation of his reforms and programmes.

The group particularly commended Seyi Tinubu for his humanitarian efforts, recalling how he intervened in the case of a critically ill ex-agitator suffering from valvular heart disease.

It said the intervention facilitated a successful heart surgery for the beneficiary, who is now recovering.

“This noble gesture reflects compassion, patriotism, and genuine concern for the wellbeing of ordinary Nigerians,” the statement read.

The forum added that beyond the incident, Seyi Tinubu has continued to support youth empowerment and humanitarian initiatives across the country, describing his efforts as commendable.

It therefore declared its support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid, urging Niger Delta youths, traditional rulers, community leaders, and stakeholders to rally behind the administration.

The group also called on Nigerians to ignore what it described as “unfounded criticisms and negative narratives,” urging focus on ongoing national development efforts.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains our preferred candidate for 2027, and we pledge our total support towards his re-election,” the forum stated.
