Naira Marley bullied my son – Mohbad’s father

Joseph Aloba, father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has once again revisited the controversies surrounding his son’s career struggles and tragic death.

In a recent conversation with Sunday Scoop, Aloba maintained that his son was subjected to bullying while alive, contradicting the recent claims of former Marlian Music boss, Naira Marley, who has denied any involvement in Mohbad’s ordeals.

DAILY POST reports that Naira Marley had recently granted an interview in which he insisted that he only attempted to guide Mohbad, particularly after discovering that the singer had allegedly begun experimenting with illicit substances.

Recalling his personal encounters, Mohbad’s father said he once visited Naira Marley in an effort to resolve some of the issues his son had raised. However, he claimed that what he observed left him convinced that his son had endured mistreatment.

According to him, one of Marley’s associates confided in him, alleging that the label boss physically assaulted Mohbad.

Aloba said, “When we went to see him to apologise, he wasn’t even speaking respectfully. People assume I went there to collect money, but life is beyond just what I want to eat.”

Responding to allegations that Mohbad carried out financial transactions using unfamiliar accounts, Aloba confirmed that the matter did exist.

He explained that Marley had once raised concerns that Mohbad was receiving funds through an account not registered in his name. The late singer’s father admitted he also noticed the same, as money sent to him sometimes originated from an unknown source.

“I warned him that anything he wanted to give me should come from his own account,” he stated, stressing that this was the extent of his knowledge of the matter.
