Naira appreciates to N1,405 in parallel market

The Naira today appreciated to N1,405 per dollar in the parallel market from N1,410 per dollar on Thursday.
This week the naira had a mixed performance in the parallel market, strengthening by N10 per dollar at the close of the week.
Parallel market traders attributed the mixed performance to market forces of demand and supply and the use of naira as payment for importers of goods especially from countries like China.
