Maga abductions: Kebbi Police cautions NGOs against protest

Kebbi state Police Command said it is in receipt of credible information that some none governmental organizations in Kebbi state are planning protest over the abduction of school girls in Maga.
The Police in a statement, on Friday described the planned protest as counter productive as it seeks to undermine efforts being made by security forces to rescue the abducted girls unhurt.
CSP Nafiu Abubakar, added the situations in the state is fragile therefore protest will aggravate the already tensed atmosphere ” we hereby cautioned the NGOs to shelve it and allow the security agencies do their work and to as well cooperate with the police by sharing with them credible information that could help in their operations”.
He noted that, the Police are ready to ensure the sustainance of prevailing peace in Kebbi and sternly warned against public destructions or attack on innocent citizens of Kebbi state.
Abubakar urged people of Kebbi state to remain calm and law abiding as the police will leave no stone unturned in safeguarding lives and property of people of Kebbi state.
