Lookman climbs 3rd in all-time Nigerian UCL top scorers list[see top 5]

Ademola Lookman has climbed to third place on Nigeria’s all-time UEFA Champions League, UCL scorers list after netting his eighth goal in the competition during UEFA Champions League action on Tuesday.

Lookman found the back of the net in Atletico Madrid’s 2-1 defeat to FC Barcelona at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Despite the loss on the night, Atletico progressed to the semi-finals with a 3-2 aggregate victory.

The goal marked another milestone for the Nigerian forward, taking his Champions League tally to eight and moving him ahead of several notable compatriots in the competition’s scoring chart.

With the latest strike, Lookman now sits behind only Victor Osimhen and Obafemi Martins among Nigeria’s top scorers in the tournament.
