INEC appoints Adelusi as Ondo Administrative Secretary

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has appointed Temitayo Victoria Adelusi as the new Administrative Secretary in Ondo State.

The appointment follows the redeployment of the incumbent, Adenike Tadese, to Lagos State.

The transition was announced on Monday afternoon as INEC management and staff in Ondo State gathered to honour Tadese ahead of her departure for her new assignment.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Mutiu Agboke, led the farewell gathering and described Tadese’s redeployment as part of routine transfers within the public service.

Agboke praised the outgoing Administrative Secretary for her professionalism, experience and contributions to the Commission during her time in Ondo State.

He described her as “one of the finest Administrative Secretaries I have worked with,” adding, “I wish her a successful and fulfilling tenure in Lagos.”

Agboke urged Tadese to maintain the professional values that had earned her recognition among colleagues and encouraged her to continue demonstrating commitment in her new position.

The Head of Legal Services, Stella Dike, also praised Tadese’s administrative approach, describing her as meticulous, thorough and attentive to detail.

Dike said Tadese’s knowledge and experience had benefited both the Commission and its staff, adding that her kindness and calm disposition would be missed by the Ondo office.

Responding, Tadese thanked God for her career with INEC and acknowledged that the redeployment had come unexpectedly.

She expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve in Ondo State and commended Agboke for the cordial working relationship they maintained during her tenure.

Tadese also thanked Electoral Officers and other members of staff for their cooperation, saying their support had made her one-year stay in the state memorable.
